<div>The List Visual Arts Center (LVAC) is pleased to invite MIT
POSTDOCS to</div>
<div>an arts event, to view their first exhibition of the 2003-2004
season, featuring New York City-based visual artist, Michael
Joo.</div>

<div>According to curator (LVAC director) Jane Farver:</div>
<div>"The first comprehensive survey of Joo's works, the
exhibition</div>
<div>consists of sculpture, video, installation, and
works-on-paper</div>
<div>created between 1992 and 2003. The show will also feature
the world</div>
<div>premiere of Joo's three-screen digital video installation,</div>
<div>"Circannual Rhythm (pibloktok)", which was shot on
location in</div>
<div>Alaska. Joo's art explores how science, religion, and the
media</div>
<div>shape consciousness and knit together the physical and the</div>
<div>metaphysical. It is about energy and waste, the visible, and
what</div>
<div>cannot be seen."</div>
