I encourage each and every one of you to apply, whether you are a freshman who's never participated in Habitat before, a senior who's pretty much ready to check out, or a grad student!<br>
<br>Why should I apply to be on the Habitat Exec Board?<br>- Gain leadership experience<br>- Learn how to plan large on- and off-campus events<br>- Get full access to all Habitat events and builds<br>- Build connections with key MIT administrators<br>
- Get involved in public service!<br><br>What would my responsibilities be as a member of Habitat Exec?<br>- Attend weekly meetings, usually on Sundays, at a time that works for everyone<br>- Help plan all Habitat events (see <a href="http://habitat.mit.edu" target="_blank">habitat.mit.edu</a> for event details)<br>
<br>What are the open positions?<br>- Treasurer: manages Habitat finances, applies for funding from UA Finboard, secures funding for Habitat events<br>- Secretary: takes minutes, contacts event sponsors and MIT admins<br>
- co-Build Day Coordinator: leads local Saturday build days, manages logistics and volunteers<br>- co-Spring Break Trip Coordinator: manages trip logistics, coordinates with Habitat International, plans fundraisers, applies for grants<br>
- Event Coordinators: takes the lead on planning the large on-campus events (Beaver Dash, Campus Build, Benefit Concert)<br>- Publicity Coordinator: publicizes all Habitat events via emails, flyers, posters, banners, DomeView, Tech ads, etc.<br>
