The annual National Youth Awards recognize and encourage youth and those who support youth involvement who productively, innovatively and creatively work to further Habitat for Humanity’s mission. Awards will be given to oustanding campus chapter, Collegiate Challenge and Youth United groups. Nomination forms are available to affiliates and chapters now on My.Habitat. <br>

<span style="font-size:10pt">From August 2009 to February 2010, over 46,000 people, including many Habitat volunteers, applied to Teach For America, the national corps of outstanding future leaders who commit two years to teach in urban and rural public schools as fully trained and salaried educators. Applications for the 2011-2012 year will be available August 2010; <a href="https://www.teachforamerica.org/online/info/index.jsp?action=signUp" target="_blank">sign up to learn more</a> on TFA’s website.</span></div>

</span></strong><span style="color:black;font-size:10pt">The Corporation for National Service has up to $450,000 in grants for <a href="http://www.learnandserve.gov/about/programs/community_based.asp" target="_blank">innovative and community-based service-learning programs</a>. Affiliates who partner with school districts and community colleges on service-learning may want to apply for these “youth engagement zone” grants.
