2004 GSVD leaders,
We're just beginning the planning for next year's GSVD, and I'd like to
extend a special invitation to you to join our organizational committee
for 2005. Our first meeting will be next Wednesday, April 13, at
5:30p in the GSC office, 50-220. We'll have the group leader
meeting for volunteer sites in June, but if you're interested in helping
out organizing the day itself, please stop by next week! Please
also forward this announcement to your groups in case your members are
interested in helping out too.
Thanks!
------------------------------------------

Graduate Student Volunteer Day (GSVD) is an annual part of the MIT
Graduate Student Council orientation program that kicks off a year of
volunteering for over 100 graduate students each year. The 6th
Annual GSVD is scheduled for Saturday, Sept 17, and we are currently
forming a committee to organize this event. Although most of the
work will come in summer and early fall, right now we also need to start
soliciting donations, designing T-shirts and publicity, targeting
volunteer organizations in Boston that might be interested in hosting
volunteer groups, and generally getting started on the organization of
this one day event. GSVD is student run, so we really need your
help!
