<p><font class="Apple-style-span" face="Arial"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: 13px;">As of February 1, 2012, Information Services & Technology (IS&T) will no longer offer support for Apple machines running Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard). This decision
was made based on the following criteria:</span></font></p>

<p><font class="Apple-style-span" face="Arial"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: 13px;">Lack of support from Apple and third-party vendors for business-critical applications in Leopard: Mail, iCal, Safari, etc.

<p><font class="Apple-style-span" face="Arial"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: 13px;">Age of operating system (> 4 years)
</span></font></p>

<p><font class="Apple-style-span" face="Arial"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: 13px;">IS&T support resources needed to support multiple Apple operating systems </span></font></p>

<p><font class="Apple-style-span" face="Arial"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: 13px;">As a reminder, IS&T strongly recommends a three-year hardware-renewal cycle for all departments, labs, and centers (DLCs). This timeline helps to ensure
that machines are current enough to run the software recommended and supported by both IS&T and third-party vendors.</span></font></p>
