offer support for Apple machines running Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard). This decision

                                <li><p><font class="Apple-style-span" face="Arial"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: 13px;">Lack of support from Apple and third-party vendors for business-critical applications in Leopard: Mail,
iCal, Safari, etc.

                                <li><p><font class="Apple-style-span" face="Arial"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: 13px;">Age of operating system (&gt; 4 years)
</span></font></p>
                                </li>
                                <li><p><font class="Apple-style-span" face="Arial"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: 13px;">IS&amp;T support resources needed to support multiple Apple operating systems&nbsp;</span></font></p>

                <p><font class="Apple-style-span" face="Arial"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: 13px;">As a reminder, IS&amp;T strongly recommends a three-year hardware-­renewal cycle for
all departments, labs, and centers (DLCs). This timeline helps to ensure that
machines are current enough to run the software recommended and supported by
both IS&amp;T and third-­party vendors.</span></font></p>
