font-family:Arial'>I’m pleased to announce that Chris Lavallee has joined
IS&T as the new Manager for the Departmental IT Resources (DITR) team ( <a
href="http://web.mit.edu/ist/teams/ditr/">http://web.mit.edu/ist/teams/ditr/</a>
). Chris grew up in the New England area and has a Bachelors (Providence College)
and Masters (Boston College) degree in Biology and a long standing interest in technology.
While in graduate school he took on some additional responsibilities supporting
local departmental staff which later grew into a </span></font><font size=2
face=Arial><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Arial'>new centrally reporting
group, the Technology Consultants (TCs); this group later became part of
Information Technology Services at BC where his last role was as the Director of
Operations. Chris is currently working on his MBA at Boston College. When he’s
not working at MIT you’ll find him outdoors, hiking, biking, camping,
canoeing, off-roading in his Jeep, or playing goalkeeper on both indoor and
outdoor soccer teams in the Boston area.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
