<HTML><BODY style="word-wrap: break-word; -khtml-nbsp-mode: space; -khtml-line-break: after-white-space; "><DIV>Good afternoon.</DIV><DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV>Information Services and Technology is pleased to announce the start of the effort to release Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) 5.3.2, IS&T's supported backup application for Macintosh users.</DIV><DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV>The major new feature of this version is compatibility with Mac OS X 10.4 "Tiger", allowing users to backup, archive and restore files with extended attributes, a new feature of Mac OS X 10.4 files. In addition, TSM 5.3.2 now supports Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) 128-bit encryption. AES is the United States government's encryption standard for non-classified but sensitive data.</DIV><DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV>Other new features and known issues are described in the TSM 5.3.2 notebook: <A href="http://web.mit.edu/swrt/releases/tsmmac/">http://web.mit.edu/swrt/releases/tsmmac/</A>.
