Yesterday, Apple released Mac OS X 10.5.5. Apple does their best
to test each update before making them public, but there's always the chance
problems still might occur.

To help make the process go as smoothly as possible, we suggest the
following:

* Have a current backup of all all of your data.

* Before upgrading, run the "Verify Drive" option in Disk Utility.

* Quit all open applications before starting the installation.

* Allow the installation process to complete, uninterrupted. Laptop
users should plug their machine in before doing the upgrade.

* After the upgrade, run the "Repair Permissions" option in Disk
Utility to fix any permissions issues that might have been caused the
by the installer.

* If possible, test the upgrade on a non-production machine before
installing it on production hardware.
