<p class="MsoNormal">The John Chambers College of Business and Economics at West Virginia University (WVU) invites applications for a tenure-track assistant or associate professor in supply chain management effective August 2020. The selected candidate is expected
to contribute to the mission of the program in the areas of research, teaching, and service through publications in top tier journals, excellent instruction at the undergraduate and graduate levels, industry outreach, and support of department, college and
university service activities.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Applications must be submitted online through the WVUHire at careers.wvu.edu and should contain a letter of interest, research statement, teaching philosophy, curriculum vita, published research, student evaluations of teaching effectiveness,
and the names and contact information of at least three references.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Review of applications will begin in August 2019 and will continue until the position is filled. Faculty will be available to meet interested candidates at the upcoming CSCMP and Decision Sciences Institute meetings.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">WVU is a comprehensive, land-grant university, classified as “very high research activity” as described by the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education. The WVU System, which includes the flagship campus in Morgantown,

<p class="MsoNormal">Qualifications<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Candidates must have a doctoral degree in supply chain management, logistics, operations management, business administration, or a closely related field, by August 1, 2020. The candidate must exemplify a strong research focus with a record
demonstrating the potential to publish high-quality research in the leading academic journals in the field. A research fit with one of the University’s focus areas of health-care, energy, or artificial intelligence, is preferred. Preference will be given to
candidates with industry expertise in supply chain management. Candidates are expected to provide evidence of potential for excellence in teaching supply chain management courses, and embrace a teaching philosophy grounded in experiential learning initiatives
and an integrated end-to-end perspective on supply chain management consistent with the focus of the Global Supply Chain management program at WVU. A demonstrated track-record of leadership and excellence in teaching supply chain management courses is required
for Associate-level rank.<o:p></o:p></p>
