At 7:30 before the dance, Sydney will teach the first lesson of a 2-week Nightclub Two Step (NC2) lesson series. Nightclub Two Step is very much in the swing family (invented by Buddy Schwimmer, of West Coast Swing fame). It's commonly danced to slow pop
and rock songs, and is often played at swing events among faster songs to bring a nice change of pace to any social dancing experience.

After the lesson, the DJ may play a few Nightclub Two Step songs, but otherwise the DJ sets will probably be mostly music for East Coast Swing and Lindy Hop. (This is a change from last semester.)

Would anyone like to teach a future lesson? Share your love of dance!

Help setting up the dance is super appreciated! Come at 7 before the lesson starts.

MIT strives to provide an actively all-inclusive, supportive environment for everyone, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, sex, religion, nationality, disability, political orientation, age, national or ethnic origin and/or
race (Collectively, the "protected classes"). As a result, MIT Lindy Hop welcomes all dancers and expects everyone to treat each other with respect, regardless of age, ability, physical appearance, lifestyle, dance experience or dance role.
To that end, MIT Lindy Hop Society reserves the right to take action against any person whose conduct is contrary to this environment of inclusiveness. Using our discretion, any dancer that we reasonably determine has violated MIT's non-discrimination policy
in the treatment of any other dancer in any way, may be permanently banned from participation in MIT Lindy Hop Society activities. Potentially actionable conduct may include, but is not limited to:

Verbal insults, jokes, comments, or micro-aggressions that leaves another dancer feeling marginalized based on their status as a member of a protected class.

Sexually inappropriate, coercive, or manipulative conduct that overtly or covertly circumvents the other person's right to consent.
