I am wondering what the update is about the card system for the laundry
machines? Maybe I do a lot of laundry, but I am having a hard time
accruing enough quarters to keep up with it! Laundromats with
coin-operated machines also tend to have change machines (if there are
any of those left!) :-) I imagine that would be difficult to
install and keep up with here. But would love to know when the card
reader stuff will be here.<br><br>

I will check with Adam tomorrow about the washing machines and also about
the weeds—what the best solution is to the problem. It might be that we
should just acquire a couple pairs of shears and some gardening gloves

The dryers will apparently be almost identical to the one that is down
there now, which is a comparable size. (That's what the man told me who
was there earlier today.) The washing machines are front-loading and thus
are larger. You can take a look at them—they look great!<br><br>

Here's an update on the situation in the laundry room.<br><br>
Two new washers and two dryers were brought in this morning. However, the
company agent who promised us these would fit did not measure properly,
and we can't use the machines without a complete reconfiguration. It
looks like we will be able to rearrange things by having <b>two stacked
dryers</b> adjacent to the washing machines (on thei! r right). This will
make the whole set up much more comfortable! ;(We will even
be able to put a table running along the opposite wall, for folding
clothes, baskets, etc. But this will take a little while longer to get
arranged, because it will entail running the gas pipe and the head duct
pipes overhead to the opposite wall, where the dryers will be
repositioned.<br><br>
<b>In the meantime, we do have two operational washing machines and one
dryer for now. They take quarters, but when things are finally installed
properly, the four machines will all be run with cards.<br>
