<h4>November NY LASER Cancelled<br>Re-scheduled for 9 December 2012, New York, NY</h4>
<p class="mainText">Due to unforseen circumstances, <strong>the November 3rd NY LASER has been cancelled</strong>. The next <strong>NY LASER</strong> is scheduled for <strong>Sunday, December 9th</strong> from 4 - 7PM. Speakers for the December NY LASER will include <strong>Charles Lindsay</strong>, a multi-media artist interested in the confluence of art, science and consciousness and Artist-in-Residence at the SETI Institute and <strong>Catherine Chalmers</strong>, a photographer and Artist-in-Residence at Imagine Science Films, an organization focused on the intersection of science, film and art. <h4>UK Met Office and FutureEverything Participate in EUPORIAS Project</h4>
<p class="mainText">The UK Met Office and FutureEverything are part of a new project EUPORIAS supported by the European Commission. EUPORIAS kicks off in Barcelona on 6 November 2012. Access to credible seasonal forecasts, supported by informed guidance from the science community, has potential to improve the resilience of society to climate variability and change. <h4>University at Buffalo Media Study - Graduate Programs: Call for Applications</h4>
<p class="mainText">The Department of Media Study at the University at Buffalo is renowned for its pioneering contributions to film, video and sound art practices and theory. <h4>Neuroaesthetics Symposium, ZKM | Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe</h4>
<p class="mainText">Readers are cordially invited to attend the symposium entitled "Neuroaesthetics" on 22 - 24 November 2012 at the ZKM | Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe. The symposium, held in cooperation with the Hertie Foundation, aims at establishing a connection between current developments in the neurosciences and the arts.
