<h4>Gordon Knox Elected to Leonardo/ISAST Governing Board</h4>
<p class="mainText">The Leonardo/ISAST Governing Board elected <strong>Gordon Knox</strong> to the board at its January 2010 meeting. Gordon Knox is the Director of the Arizona State University Art Museum. Previously a core collaborator at the Stanford Humanities Lab, Knox developed international projects that connect artists with scientists and technologists to develop contexts that expanded the circulation of ideas and advance social justice. <a href="http://www.leonardo.info/isast/isastboard.html">Find out more</a></p><p></p>

<h4>Littleton Rotary Club, Young Leonardo Award Competition</h4>
<p class="mainText">The Littleton Rotary Club (Littleton, MA) will be holding its first annual <strong>Young Leonardo Award
competition</strong> for all Littleton students grades 6-12 this year. The competition, a
two-fold program with a scientific/literary component, is a visual arts/technology
component and sponsored by the Littleton Rotary Club in conjunction with Leonardo/Olats (Paris, France). The purpose of the Young Leonardo project is to promote the relationship between
knowledge, creativity and critical thinking. The ultimate goal is to bring together
best ideas and tools in the arts and sciences and create connections between

Astronomy, Lunacies and Ends of the World</h4>
<p class="mainText"><img src="http://www.leonardo.info/e-LNN/img/lealogo.jpg" align="left" border="0">The <strong>Astronomy, Lunacies and Ends of the World</strong> issue of LEA, in preparation for 2012,
is planned as an interdisciplinary issue open to historical and sociological analysis,
astronomical insights, ways that the universe connects to life on Earth, artists
dealing with the heavens or the cataclysmic end of the world, the search for extra
terrestrial life and intelligence and human migration off the planet. Astronomy, Lunacies and Ends of the World will analyze the role played by astronomy and earth sciences in the arts and sciences, but more importantly in shaping
sociological relations, mass behaviors and hysteria that are at times inspiration
