scientists and
business people in artistic contexts.

1. Artsactive.net's vision statement
<br>
<br>
It is desirable to increase the presence of artists in
scientific and entrepreneurial contexts, and the presence of scientists
and
entrepreneurs in artistic contexts to:

- develop new sources of innovation and creativity within
science and technology;
<br>
- change the context and the direction of science and
technology (social embedding)
<br>
- disseminate the fruits of science into society at large;
<br>
- integrate artists into scientific and innovative teams and
industry contexts;
<br>
- encourage knowledge transfer and professional development.

2. Aims
<br>

- Exchange of lessons learned, practices and methodologies,
for operation and evaluation of collaborations in science and industry
R and D
settings.
<br>
- Share information with a wider public.
<br>
- Stimulate joint projects, shared web and other
publications, and advocacy.
<br>
- Open up discourses about information, progress, ethics,
social impact.
<br>
- Encourage international collaborations for funding
potentials.

3. Members of the network
<br>
<br>
The network is a semi-formal network with no legal or
corporate existence. The network meets virtually, but will meet
physically at
least once a year hosted by one of its members. Membership is by
invitation
only. If you run a program that falls within the ArtsActive goals and
are
interested in being invited to join the network, please contact:
