THE EXPLORATORIUM JOINS LEONARDO AFFILIATE MEMBERSHIP PROGRAM
Leonardo/ISAST is pleased to welcome The Exploratorium as a new
Affiliate Member. The Exploratorium was founded in 1969 by noted
physicist and educator Dr. Frank Oppenheimer with a mission to
nurture curiosity in the world around us. Located in San Francisco
and headed by Dr. Dennis M. Bartels, a nationally known science
education and policy expert, the Exploratorium is typically perceived
as a science museum, though it has extended its philosophy of
learning beyond the museum’s doors by sharing its resources
nationally and internationally with any who wish to take advantage
of, or replicate, this innovative approach to exploring science, art,
and human perception. Find out more
