<div style="padding:12px"><span style="font-size:14px">The Nawaya Network is an NGO based in Beirut, Lebanon, which supports low-income, marginalized youth develop their talents and passions by connecting them with various resources such as mentors, trainers,
classes, funding, internships, and job opportunities. <br>

The ultimate aim is to help lift youth out of poverty and build important soft skills and life skills to create opportunities for a brighter and more promising future.<br>
<br>
The founder of Nawaya, Zeina Saab, an MIT Alum (2009) will be visiting Boston to share Nawaya's work with the Lebanese and wider Arab community. The event will be held in collaboration with The Lebanese Club at MIT, NAAP-Boston, and the MIT Arab Student Organization.<br>
<br>
The event will focus on a recent Nawaya success story, whereby Reine, a 14-year-old ballerina, was given the opportunity to travel to NYC in July 2014 to train in a summer dance program. <br>
<br>
A short documentary film about Reine's journey will be screened at the event, and a discussion will follow about how the expat community can support youth in Lebanon and the Arab region through Nawaya's various programs.<br>
