More times are listed at the end of this note.

Note: It happened to be filmed just 2 weeks before the bombings in July!

I came across it by chance earlier this week, and thought they did a pretty good job.

Beirut City Guide

Filmed in June 2006, just two weeks before violence broke out, Megan McCormick visited the Lebanese capital of Beirut, a city with a long history of political and social unrest, but she also found an atmosphere of optimism. To find out about Beirut's future, Megan met a group of young rap artists, eager to live in peace and move forward from the country's political troubles. She took a day trip to the fishing village of Byblos and headed to the hills to unearth fossils. Her return to Beirut took her through Jeita Grotto, a series of underground caves and lakes.

Then we look back at a previous visit to Lebanon, shortly after its civil war ended in 1990, to see how the country has changed - and remained the same - over

the past decade.
