Removing the application tree

Hi.
We'd really love to see src/appl ejected from the MIT Kerberos distribution.

At one point you wanted to work to maintain that tree.  I suspect
other members of our team would also be interested in helping some,
but we'd like to get it out of our core release.

If you're still interested in this, what can we all do to move this
forward?
If you are no longer interested, is anyone else interested in taking over the Kerberos applications?
