joining domain or workstation ?

Hi,
 
When using an MIT KDC for authenticating win2k/winxp machine, should the machine be configured as a member of a domain or workgroup ?
 
I've tried both and for both cases the user is able to login to the machine...
So what's the difference ?

Hi

Is there any stand-alone ftp server which can be
installed on SCO openserver 5.0.4 and underestands
Kerberos V4?

I need such an ftp server to authenticate ftp upload
requests ftrom other machines which use kerberos v4

Is there anyone to help me?
