[IS&T Security-FYI] Laptop Tagging and Registration, Wednesday April 11 @ 11:30-1:00

MIT Campus Police provides a service to tag and register laptop computers and electronic devices. This loss prevention measure is a visible deterrent to theft. Take a look at this video<http://web.mit.edu/cp/www/_docs/theft_deterrent.wmv> to see the results.

Once applied it takes 24 hours for the adhesive to cure, then it takes up to 800 pounds of pressure to remove the tag. If removed, it leaves a tattoo stating Stolen Property.

The next laptop tagging event is this Wednesday at the E17 Learning Center, 11:30 - 1:00.
