<html><body style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; -webkit-line-break: after-white-space; ">You are invited to a meeting of the ACCORD Image Tools and Repositories Team (<a href="http://web.mit.edu/teachtech/image.html">http://web.mit.edu/teachtech/image.html</a>). <div><br></div><div>You are receiving this invitation because you have attended a team meeting in the past, or otherwise expressed interest in the activities of the team. (Instructions for unsubscribing from the list are below)<div><br></div><div> We are proposing a meeting to discuss three potential activities for the team:<br><br>1) A means to inform users about copyright guidelines about their own images and images they collect from other sources.<br><br>2) A roundtable discussion to build on the topics and interests expressed at the first such meeting held on January 7 of this year and attended by staff and faculty who use digital images in their work, teaching, and research. (Those attending the meeting were eager to meet again.)<br><br>3) A workshop modeled on the one given at a NERCOMP SIG in January that explored image tool and repository use cases, their "solutions", and learnings from the experience.<br><br>If any of these activities stimulate your interest please join us. Attending the meeting doesn't commit you to working on the activities; we welcome your comments and insights. By the same token, if you are interested in the group's activities but are unable to attend this meeting time, please let us know and we will accommodate your schedule for our next meeting. (We haven't met for a while so we don't know for sure who wants to remain involved.)</div><div><br></div><div>In any case, we will publish minutes to this meeting so you can keep track of the teams activities.<br><br>The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 21 at 2:00 PM and will be held in the Rotch Library meeting room in Building 7 [1]. Please RSVP your interest in attending by replying to this message. (The "reply to" header will send your email to Ann Whiteside and myself.) <br><div><br class="webkit-block-placeholder"></div><div>If there are other colleagues who you feel would be interested in these topics, please let us know and we’ll invite them too, or prompt them to contact us directly.</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>You may remove yourself from this mailing list either by responding to this email and requesting to be removed, or by navigating to the mailing list membership page at <a href="http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/image-tools">http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/image-tools </a>and unsubscribing yourself.</div><div><br></div><div>. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .</div><div apple-content-edited="true"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: separate; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 12px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: normal; orphans: 2; text-align: auto; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; widows: 2; word-spacing: 0px; -webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 0px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 0px; -webkit-text-decorations-in-effect: none; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0; "><div style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; -webkit-line-break: after-white-space; "><span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: separate; -webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 0px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 0px; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 12px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: normal; -webkit-text-decorations-in-effect: none; text-indent: 0px; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; text-transform: none; orphans: 2; white-space: normal; widows: 2; word-spacing: 0px; "><span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: separate; -webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 0px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 0px; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 12px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: normal; -webkit-text-decorations-in-effect: none; text-indent: 0px; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; text-transform: none; orphans: 2; white-space: normal; widows: 2; word-spacing: 0px; "><div>Peter Wilkins</div><div>DUE - Office of Educational Innovation and Technology</div><div>Massachusetts Institute of Technology</div><div>NE48-308</div><div><a href="mailto:pwilkins@mit.edu">pwilkins@mit.edu</a></div><div><br class="khtml-block-placeholder"></div><div>617-253-1694 office</div><div>603-498-1923 mobile</div><div><br></div><div>[1] Map to Building 7 on the MIT campus: <a href="http://whereis.mit.edu/map-jpg?zoom=level2&centerx=709840&centery=495502&oldzoom=level3&map.x=304&map.y=185">http://whereis.mit.edu/map-jpg?zoom=level2&centerx=709840&centery=495502&oldzoom=level3&map.x=304&map.y=185</a></div></span></span></div></span><br class="Apple-interchange-newline"> </div><br></div></div></body></html>
