The Department of Anthropology at the University of Pittsburgh invites applications for a faculty position at the level of appointment stream Lecturer in Anthropology. The renewable three-year contract begins in Fall 2022. A Ph.D. in hand at the time of application
is required. This position requires a commitment to excellence in teaching and advising undergraduates. As the Director of Undergraduate Studies (DUGS) the successful candidate is expected to serve as the primary academic advisor for the undergraduate majors
in the department and to train and supervise the graduate student assistant advisor; to manage enrollment and certification for graduation; to develop/support undergraduate Anthropology programming (such as the Anthro Club); and to teach four undergraduate
courses per year, including at least one large introductory-level lecture with the help of one or more graduate student Teaching Assistants.<span style="margin: 0px; font-size: 10.5pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;" class=""></span></div>
