interests in the social or cultural aspects of health, disease, and health care, focused on the United States. Teaching responsibility includes survey course on social/cultural aspects of medicine and health. The Science in Society Program offers an interdisciplinary
undergraduate major in the history, philosophy and social studies of science, technology, and medicine, taught by faculty from multiple disciplines.<b> </b>Ph.D. in a relevant academic discipline, in hand or near completion, is required at time of appointment.
