<div>The Department of Anthropology, University of Michigan, invites applications for an assistant<br>
professor level appointment in global health and/or global environment to begin September 1, 2014,<br>
pending administrative approval. We are interested in scholars whose research addresses global<br>
health and/or environment from a critical perspective. Topics of interest include, but are not limited<br>
to, infectious disease, mental health, political economy of development. Geographic area of<br>
specialization is open but depth of ethnographic experience as well as the ability to speak to larger<br>
issues of theoretical, comparative and interdisciplinary significance will be crucial. The successful<br>
candidate will be a faculty member in the Department of Anthropology and participate in the<br>
University of Michigan International Studies program. The deadline for application is August 19,<br>
