During the Spring 2013 semester, The Teaching and Learning Lab will once again offer a <b>Graduate Student Teaching Certificate Program</b>. This workshop series is for students interested in developing their teaching skills to support their teaching at MIT, as well as those who are planning careers in academe. To earn a certificate, students must participate in 7 classroom workshops, one online session, and a videotaped teaching/lesson presentation.</div>

He received his MD and Ph.D. from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX and completed his postdoctoral training at the University of Wisconsin. In 2000, he joined the faculty of the Department of Biology and the Picower Institute for Learning and Memory at MIT. Dr. Littleton will talk about how to estimate what it will take to run your lab.<br>
<br><strong>Dr. Buehler </strong>is Associate Professor in the Dept of Civil and Environmental Engineering at MIT, where he directs the Laboratory for Atomistic and Molecular Mechanics (LAMM). He is the Director of the MIT-Germany Program, Co-Director of the MIT Computation for Design and Optimization Program, and leads the Mechanics and Materials Group in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. He has participated in faculty search committees and will offer the hiring department's perspective in such negotiations.</font></p>
