Dr. Goodman is a Professor of Astronomy and a Research Associate of the Smithsonian Institution. Her lab group studies how interstellar gas arranges itself to form new stars. She is also involved in the WorldWide Telescope Project. Additionally, her strong interest in research computing and data visualization led her to co-found the The Initiative in Innovative Computing at Harvard. At the coffee hour she’ll be talking about cool new software tools for better research, as well as doing some general Q&A about life!<br>
