Women in STEM' next Monday 6/27 at 6 pm. We are very fortunate to have
Professor Debbie Chachra from Olin College joining us to moderate the
discussion and provide insight. Professor Chachra's research is focused on
improving engineering education and she has spent time studying how the
engineering experience between male and female students is different.

Three talented and diverse vocal musicians from around the world, Dashina
produces an affecting and lavish take on world music. This accomplished
trio is made up of Inna Dudukina, a classically trained Siberian pianist
with a fervor for composing and arranging, Dana Protsenko, a Ukranian
experienced in jazz and neo-soul, and lastly, Nigeria’s Harshitha Krishnan,
who’s been making music—and touring India—since age 4. Their amazing
explosion of fierce vocal harmonies ranges from spirited and sultry to
poignant and dark, an impressive fusion of folk, jazz, electronic dance
music, and world music.

This summer we will hold as many classes outside as the weather allows.
Drawing outdoors will teach students to observe and capture the life and
motion of the MIT campus and the city.

Each students’ skill set will grow through a variety of drawing techniques
and exercises. An assortment of materials will be used including pencil
(graphite), charcoal, oil pastel, conte crayon, ink and a collection of
papers. Students will be encouraged to keep a small sketchbook outside of
class, to support the skills learned during studio time.

This is the start of your ceramic journey! Learn the basics of wheel
throwing and hand-building while getting introduced/acclimated to our
community studio. Through a variety of weekly demonstrations you will see

Our Free Fun Fridays offer visitors no-cost admission to many of the most
treasured cultural venues in Massachusetts. This program was created to
increase access and enrichment opportunities for children and families
throughout Massachusetts during the summer months. Every Friday, from the
end of June through the end of August, multiple sites are open for free. We
reach out to schools, veterans groups, libraries, seniors’ centers, and
many other community organizations to ensure that everyone knows that they
are also welcome.

are inspired to follow a consulting career, this Women in Consulting
Workshop is a great opportunity to get an insider’s view of successful
women consultants. We have invited women consultants at different stages of
their career to share their views related to career advancement and
work-life balance.

The workshop will start with a keynote address by Emily McNabb (McKinsey &
Company) followed by a panel discussion. The event concludes with a
networking session where hors d’oeuvres and refreshments will be served.

MASS AWIS has created a scholarship fund to help offset the cost of
membership.

If awarded a scholarship, MASS AWIS will supplement 80% of the National

seeking Professional, Junior or Student memberships.
