As an engineer, you have the ability to design and products, processes, or
software that has the potential to solve today’s complex engineering
problems and have a positive impact on the world. However, in order to
implement these solutions and effect change, you will also need the
teamwork and leadership skills to work effectively with others. In this
course you will learn how to maximize your professional effectiveness as a
leader and how to participate in or to form innovative and successful
technical teams. By becoming a better leader, you’ll be able to identify
your strengths, motivate and influence others, manage conflict, communicate
more effectively, and determine who will be an asset to your team. In this
class, you will develop and hone your leadership and teamwork skills in an
engineering context through selfassessments, case studies, and role playing
and reflection exercises. Guest speakers will also illustrate
multidisciplinary approaches on how to enhance your professional impact
through leadership.

Learn to lead any team toward innovative solutions!

- Assess your professional effectiveness – learn where your true strengths
are

- Turn any group into an innovative technical team

- Know who you need on your teams – and the kinds of people you don’t

- Become a stronger leader
