Solar Cars!

Citizen Schools is looking for community members who are passionate about
engineering, the environment, and/or alternative energy to ignite catalyst
moments in local middle school students by teaching a ten-week solar cars
class! Teams of students will collaborate to design, build, and test their
solar car. At the end of the semester, each team will enter its car into
the Junior Solar Sprint held at MIT!

Not interested in Solar Cars, but still love science, technology,
engineering or math? You can still be involved! We have many curricula
that focus on STEM fields, or we can help you build your own. Check out our
curricula library at www.citizenschools.org/curriculum/.

Ever wonder what happens when kindergarteners become physicists? What about
the transformation fifth graders go through as they discover the world as
oceanographers and marine biologists? Our third graders get explosive with
chemistry creating their own crystals, while the fourth graders roll out
the blueprints and hard hats as architects.

This semester there are so many different ways to volunteer with Science Club
for Girls it is OUTSTANDING!

Join these future scientists, technology enthusiasts, engineers, and
mathematicians
as their Mentor-Scientists! Open their eyes to new possibilities while
making a difference in both of your lives.

Apply Now <http://survey.constantcontact.com/survey/a07e6p0xfn7h9zz0gkf/a014whatrdpmi/greeting>for
first choice placement at SCFG sites this Spring 2013.
