Dear GWAMIT Members,

 

We would like to call your attention to an event next week - Negotiation and
Assertive Communication Practice.  Please note that while this event was
inspired by the Leadership Conference, it is not an official GWAMIT
sponsored or organized event.

 

Leadership Conference Follow Up Event: Negotiation and Assertive
Communication Practice Session

When: Tuesday, January 11, 5-7pm

The mechanics of negotiation and assertive communication seem simple, but
applying it to your daily life can be daunting and challenging.  Both
seminars built on an ability to think on your feet and reframe requests and
comments into the context of your overall goals.  This practice session will
start with a summary of the basic content and strategies covered in both
seminars and then we will break into small groups to practice through open
ended brainstorming, role playing, and discussion.  Overall, this event
provides a supportive and safe environment in which to explore different
communication styles with your peers and learn from one another.
