<p><font face="Helvetica,Sans-Serif">There has been some interest in the HCA chair positions, so I'd like to go ahead and schedule a time for our April HCA Election meeting. </font></p>
<p><font face="Helvetica,Sans-Serif"><br>
</font></p>
<p><font face="Helvetica,Sans-Serif">Please fill out the <a href="https://www.when2meet.com/?8987744-r5Myx">
when2meet here</a> so we can decide on a time for the Zoom meeting over the upcoming two weeks (since everyone's schedules are probably different now).</font></p>

<p><font face="Helvetica,Sans-Serif">Here are some important points to keep in mind for the election:</font><br>
</p>
<ul>
<li><font face="Helvetica,Sans-Serif"><strong>Running for the position:</strong> Anyone is eligible to run for the two open HCA chair positions (there are no explicit restrictions in the operating procedures).<br>
</font></li><li><font face="Helvetica,Sans-Serif"><strong>Procedure:</strong> We will allow each candidate ~5 minutes to give a statement. We will then have a Q & A session. Afterwards we will move candidates to a breakout room, have a discussion and then vote. </font><font face="Helvetica,Sans-Serif"><br>
</font></li><li><span style="font-family:Helvetica,Sans-Serif"><strong>Voting:</strong> Votes will be counted by the full preferential method.
</span><font face="Helvetica,Sans-Serif">All committee members (encompasses all graduate students and spouses/partners) who have attended at least one prior HCA meeting are eligible to vote. </font></li></ul>
