Subject: [GSC-Diversity-All] Meeting next week and informal drinks tonight

Hi everyone,

Hope the end of the semester isn't hitting you too hard. To follow up on lat
week's email- I'm hoping we can have a quick (no more than 1 hour) meeting next
Tuesday evening at 6pm at the 2nd floor of Walker (GSC Office) to talk about the
International Students identity dinner (for those who said you are interested)-
bring your ideas- we'll have a fun brainstorm and finish up with a clear plan
for IAP.

On a more relaxed note, the DUSP Students of Color Committee is having a happy
hour tonight around 9pm in the Thirsty Ear- you all, plus friends are more than
welcome to join.

Hey everyone,

I know some of you have already heard about the Black senior student at Tufts
who was being harassed and thrown rocks a couple weeks ago. Instead of things
getting better, it appears matters are getting worse. Some of you may have
already heard of the Christmas Carol published in Tufts University's student
publication, The Primary Source (a journal of conservative thought).  This was
published December 6, 2006, in their Silver Anniversary issue. Many Black
students at Tufts have already began protesting, and have even contacted the
press to let more people know.  To view the poem see below, I also have a link
to the press coverage by CBS. It was also on Fox News and today on The CW's ten
o' clock news.
