Come see the Boston Bruins vs the Washington Capitals on Thursday,<br>
April 1, 2004, at 7pm at the Fleet Center. GSC is selling tickets
for<br>
$16 to MIT graduate students and post-docs and $20 for guests.

tickets at the GSC office 50-220. Limit 2 tickets per person.

2.<i> <u>Art Show Submissions<br><br>
</u></i>The Hidden Jewels of our Community<br>
Annual Art Show-Submissions due March 15 <br>
Supported by your student life fee<br><br>
Our juried art exhibit will provide graduate student artists and
their<br>
spouses and partners an opportunity to display their talents on
campus.<br>
It will be held in the Bush Room on April 22 and 23. We will have
an<br>
opening night/charity fundraiser event on the 22nd, and on April 23,
the<br>
exhibit will be open free of charge to the community. <br><br>
The jury will consist of members of the MIT community, and artists
will<br>
be informed of their acceptance into the show by April 2nd. All
medium<br>
are welcome (paintings, photographs, sculpture, textiles,
etc.).<br><br>

This program will be useful for those planning to enter the academic job
market. in<br>
the future. Hear a faculty member's perspective on etiquette of asking
for<br>
recommendations, the search committee's perspective, etc. Get an overview
of the<br>
timeline for preparing for your academic job search. Other topics include
preparing a<br>
research or teaching statement, writing effective cover letters. Bring 3
copies of<br>
your CV or draft for a peer critiquing exercise.<br><br>
