<div dir="ltr"><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 0.0001pt;font-size:12pt;font-family:Calibri,sans-serif">Dear Pumpkin Patch volunteers, past, present, and future,</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 0.0001pt;font-size:12pt;font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"> </p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 0.0001pt;font-size:12pt;font-family:Calibri,sans-serif">Here is my traditional midsummer MIT Great Glass Pumpkin Patch
shout-out and call for volunteers!</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 0.0001pt;font-size:12pt;font-family:Calibri,sans-serif">Finally, after some pandemic-related uncertainty, the
details of the 2022 Pumpkin Patch are now coming into focus. This year the sale
will again be a hybrid one – part online and part in-person.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 0.0001pt;font-size:12pt;font-family:Calibri,sans-serif">The in-person sale will be, as always, in Kresge Oval and
will take place on <b>Saturday, September
24th from 10AM to 3PM</b>. The preview opening will be on <b>Friday, September 23rd, from
5-8PM.</b> One big difference this year is that there will already be a VERY
large tent on the oval, so we will not need to reserve Sunday, September 25 as
a rain date. In the event of rain, all the pumpkins will fit under the tent.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 0.0001pt;font-size:12pt;font-family:Calibri,sans-serif">Mostly this is just a save-the-date notice, but it’s also an
early call for volunteers who already know they want to participate in the sale
and would like me to add their names to the volunteer roster. As summer wanes
and fall approaches, it makes me feel good to know that we have a bunch of
returning volunteers, so feel free to contact me and let me know that you’ll be
back, and what kind of job you would like to have at the sale. If you have questions about jobs, fire away. More detail to follow.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 0.0001pt;font-size:12pt;font-family:Calibri,sans-serif">After collecting your responses into a mailing list, I’ll be
back in touch sometime in August or early September with a much longer email
containing more detail and updates.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 0.0001pt;font-size:12pt;font-family:Calibri,sans-serif">SO, please do get back to me if you know you’ll be with us
this fall, and then please go back to the beach or dive back into that great
book or however you are spending the heart of the summer, and we’ll look
forward to seeing you in the fall!</p>
