<div dir="ltr">Hello everyone,<div>I know that with all this ridiculous heat it's hard to even think about fall and the pumpkin season, but that little alarm in my brain is apparently not heat-sensitive.</div><div>Sooooooooo, here's the annual pumpkin wakeup call and call for volunteers! </div><div><br></div><div><b>First: </b></div><div>The date of this year's sale is <b>Saturday, September 29. </b>The preview opening, therefore, will be on <b>Friday, September 28, </b>from 5-8PM, and the rain date (Lord of Pumpkins forbid) <b>Sunday, September 30. Please save these dates if you can!</b></div><div><b><br></b></div><div><b>Second:</b></div><div>Please let me know if you are planning to volunteer, and if possible, what job you would like to do at the Patch. We really like return volunteers who know the ropes, and it's reassuring to be able to fill in the schedule with some experienced hands. But we like new people too! So if you have a friend who might want to come, recruit them.</div><div><br></div><div><b>Third:</b></div><div>After you put this on your calendar and alert me that you'll be coming, get back into that sailboat or whatever appropriate August activity you were engaged in. I'll be sending another more detailed email out in a couple of weeks.</div><div><br></div><div>See you in a few weeks!</div><div><br></div><div>Peter</div><div><div><div><br></div>-- <br><div class="gmail_signature" data-smartmail="gmail_signature">Peter Houk<br>Director, Glass Lab<br>Department of Materials Science and Engineering<br>Massachusetts Institute of Technology</div>
