<div dir="ltr">Hello friends of glass, pumpkins, and glass pumpkins,<div>Somehow it's already mid-August, and a little voice in the back of my head is beginning to murmur something about pumpkins and the fall.</div><div>
Truth be told, I have already had a number of inquiries from out-of-town people wanting to know the dates of this year's Pumpkin Patch so that they can plan their travel, and so that little voice has now moved into the front of the head.</div>
<div style>And so:</div><div>This year's MIT Great Glass Pumpkin Patch will be during the final weekend of September: the opening will be on Friday, September 27th (from 5 to 8PM, as usual), and the sale will be on Saturday (10AM to 3PM), September 28th. And the rain date (please, no...) is Sunday, September 29th.</div>
<div>If you have volunteered at the sale before, we would <b>love</b> to have you back. Bring a friend! If you have never been a volunteer at the Patch before, maybe this is the year you can finally join us.</div><div style>
Most. if not all of you know that the Pumpkin Patch is a really big deal for us: this event is our sole funding source for the Glass Lab's activities and we depend on it completely to keep the program afloat year-to-year. Which means that we depend on your help completely to make the whole thing work.</div>
<div style>There will be more emails from me as the date gets closer, with lots more details about what/when/where, but for now I'd like to get a sense from those who know that they can join us as volunteers this year so that I can start to fill in my roster.</div>
<div style>OK, get back to enjoying what's left of the summer, and I'll be back in touch in a couple of weeks.</div><div style>Best,</div><div style>Peter</div><div style><br></div><div style>PS: for volunteers, the usual perks still apply: free t-shirts and refreshments, and early shopping privileges. </div>
