Hello volunteers for the MIT Great Glass Pumpkin Patch,<div>It seems that in the enthusiasm of my fist communique I was a little unclear about the times that volunteers are needed at the 2010 Pumpkin Patch.</div><div>Here, in more sober language, is the scoop:</div>
<div>The 2010 MIT Great glass Pumpkin Patch sale will be on Saturday, September 25 from 10AM to 3PM. The bulk of volunteers are needed for that day, starting at 7-8AM. We have to get an early start in order to take all the pumpkins out from under the tent and onto the lawn, then set up the sales area. It's a lot of work and takes a lot of people.</div>
<div>The opening will be the night before, Friday, from 5PM to 8PM. There are no sales during the opening, so we don't really need many volunteers during that time, but earlier in the day, especially in the morning from 8AM to 1 or 2 PM, we can use a lot of help bringing pumpkins to the Oval and unwrapping them.</div>
<div>So, the best times to volunteer are during the following times: Friday 8AM - 1PM, or Saturday 8AM (or as early as you can arrive) to 1 or 2 PM. We also need help with the cleanup after the sale is over at 3PM.</div><div>
As usual, Saturday volunteers will get to shop early Saturday before the sale.</div><div>All clear?</div><div>Peter<br clear="all"><br>-- <br>Peter Houk<br>Director, Glass Lab<br>Department of Materials Science and Engineering<br>
