<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I tried to use Deme GA (GADemeGA) for various benchmark functions for optimization. The strange thing is that whenever the global optimum is at (0,0,...,0) it always successfully reaches optimum in the 1st generation. Why is that so? Is it because during first population initialization, individual (0,0,...,0) is always by default picked and included in the population? Based on my understanding, population initialization is done randomly.Please help. Thanks!</FONT></DIV>
