[galib] Compilation trouble

I'm running into the same problem.   I'm planning to install an older
version of the compiler (using some gcc-compat package), but haven't
had a chance to try it yet.

GALib doesn't compile with the latest versions of gcc or MS visual
studio.    Are there any plans for a new release, or is galib end of
life?
