<div>We started off this meeting by bandying about some of our favorite communications apps for iPhone and Android. Several of these are free. Here's the resulting list, in no particular order:</div>

<div>This is really, really cool: many of you may remember that MIT Communication Production Services offers a Flickr library of MIT photos that we can all use for free. Now Emer Garland of CPS tells us that in a month or so they'll be adding b-roll video of
MIT landmarks like the Infinite Corridor and the Student Center. </div>

<div>Congratulations to Lauren Clark, communications coordinator for the MIT Concrete Sustainability Hub, for becoming a new author!
<i>Crafty Bastards: Beer in New England from the Mayflower to Modern Day</i> came out May 1. At this meeting she answered lots of questions about the book. For example, how did it come about? Answer: she had pitched the publisher on a related topic that wasn't
picked up, then found out that they were interested in doing a book on the history of beer in New England. She wrote up a full-length proposal on that, and "off she went."</div>

<div>Several folks at this meeting commented on what a great resource the <a href="http://hrweb.mit.edu/worklife/welcome">MIT Work-Life Center </a> is. For example, over the last few months alone the center has sponsored excellent seminars on U.S. College Admissions
101 and on aging parents. </div>
