<b>MIT EDITORS' CLUB<br>
<br>
*Meeting Notes from December 18, 2012*</b>
<div><b><br>
</b></div>
<div>Over 20 Editors made it to our last meeting of the year---a great turnout, probably in part because the meeting was smack dab in the middle of the campus AND because folks were interested in the topic at hand. </div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div><b>*Photos Photos Photos*</b></div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>Emer Garland-Scott and Tom Pixton of Communication Production Services (CPS) were going to give us a 15-minute summary of CPS' new photo library, but we spent the entire hour peppering them with questions and otherwise talking photos.</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>The 1,018 images in the new photo cover general views of MIT that could be of interest to any MIT communicators. Cool features: the library is searchable, and the images are…..FFFRRREEEEEE! Tom noted that as of this meeting (12/18), the library already
had over 40 users. </div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>I'm not going to go into any detail about how to access these photos (see links below), but suffice it to say that 1) you need a Flickr account for your department/lab/center, and 2) you need to connect with CPS.</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>Here is a link to the MITNews story about the new library; it includes additional links in the sidebar to CPS and to guidelines for using the library:</div>

<div><br>
</div>
<div>IN ADDITION, our own Robyn Fizz of Information Services and Technology (IS&T) is doing a story on the library. She'll send us the url as soon as it's up.</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>I'm sure that some of you will still have questions. (We spent an hour, after all, discussing questions from the 20 Editors at this meeting, and there are 230+ folks in this club.) So---feel free to contact either Emer or Tom. Emer can be reached at: <span class="Apple-style-span" style="line-height: 22px; white-space: pre; "><a href="mailto:emer@mit.edu" style="text-decoration: none; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); ">emer@mit.edu</a>
