Creative Commons licenses <i>are</i> legally binding in the U.S. (<a href="http://wiki.creativecommons.org/Jacobsen_v._Katzer">http://wiki.creativecommons.org/Jacobsen_v._Katzer</a>) and confirmed so in a handful of other jurisdictions (<a href="http://wiki.creativecommons.org/Case_Law">http://wiki.creativecommons.org/Case_Law</a>), though as I understand it, due to a 2010 settlement (rather than outright court decision) there's still debate of whether the muscle behind CC licenses falls more under contract law or copyright law.<br><div apple-content-edited="true">
