Jason Pontin, who is currently Technology Review’s CEO, editor in chief, and publisher, will additionally become MIT’s Director of Communications and an Advisor to the President. I hope you will join me in thanking Pamela Dumas Serfes for her dedicated leadership and loyal service to the News Office, and welcome Jason Pontin in his expanded role.<br> <br> This reorganization will allow us to explore new and improved ways of sharing MIT’s discoveries and innovations with the Institute community and the public at large. We expect to build upon the strength News Office by partnering it with Technology Review’s century-long history of producing an award winning magazine and its digital, international publishing business.
