I have a professional question for you: one of my colleagues has been
meeting with a soon-to-be PhD (materials science and engineering), who is
interested in doing editorial work. She says she has experience
editing other students' theses and has taken a copy editing class at the
Cambridge Adult Education Center. We actually get this type of
question periodically from other students as well. <br>
<br>
Can you folks recommend good local options and opportunities for
students/grad students interested in editorial work? The challenge
for this woman is that she is apt to be moving away come June, perhaps to
Chicago, maybe to Europe. So a company that used freelancers would
appeal to her.<br>
