The addition of <span>Ben</span> as a committer provides a very active, pragmatic and practical development resource to the <span>DSpace</span> <span>commit</span> team.<br>

Presented proposal for authorization in <span>DSpace</span> at DSUG in Cambridge<br>Presented Proposal for file conversion for digital preservation and end-user ease-of-use in <span>DSpace</span> at DSUG in Cambridge<br></div>

<div>Ben's anticipated involvement as a <span>DSpace</span> committer:<br><br><b>Development on <span>DSpace</span> 2.0:</b><br>This development is currently ongoing in collaboration with the foundation and includes work to be presented at OR09. Ben is working on the codebase and managing @mire developers to complete critical development neccessary for the project and the community.<br>
<b><br>Maintenance, Enhancements and Bugfixes on current <span>DSpace</span> releases:</b><br>Due to a wide array of different <span>DSpace</span> instances @mire is offering support, custom development and modules for, Ben has considerable in-house experience with different versions of <span>DSpace</span> and the various issues/bugs that may arise.<br>
<br><b>Planning, Requirements and Development on future <span>DSpace</span> releases:</b><br>Ben and @mire have a close connection with many different users with different requirements using <span>DSpace</span> for research output, digital libraries, project management. This knowledge is an excellent foundation for evaluating contributions, enhancing the core codebase of DSpace and offering feedback about decisions which might cause issues with the current releases of <span>DSpace codebase.</span></div>
