The president is also responsible for presiding over all DormCon meetings. Lastly, the president is DormCon's chief representative to all external bodies, MIT or otherwise.</div><div dir="ltr" style="font-size:12.8px"><br><div style="font-size:12.8px"><font face="arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><u>Vice President</u></font></div>The DormCon Vice President is officially charged with assisting and supplementing the DormCon president, and de facto has many of the same powers and requirements as the president. In addition, the Vice President directs many of the large projects of DormCon.</div><div dir="ltr" style="font-size:12.8px"><br><div style="font-size:12.8px"><font face="arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><u>Treasurer</u></font></div>The DormCon Treasurer keeps track of all things monetary. They are responsible for creating a budget for the semester and updating it throughout the term.</div><div dir="ltr" style="font-size:12.8px"><br><div style="font-size:12.8px"><font face="arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><u>Secretary</u></font></div>The DormCon Secretary maintains all the official records of DormCon. This includes taking minutes at meetings. This also involves publicizing DormCon events, including sending out reminder emails about meetings. They are also in charge of DormCon's online presence, include its website, its shiny new wiki, and its Twitter account.<div style="font-size:12.8px"><font face="arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><br></font></div><div style="font-size:12.8px"><font face="arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><u>Housing Chair(s)</u></font></div>The Dormcon Housing Chair position is responsible for all things housing! In recent years, the chairs have been in charge of issues like dorm security, changes to facilities, and dorm storage. They are responsible for representing both dining- and cook-for-yourself dorms in discussions related to both house and retail dining. This position allows you to influence the Institute's approach to risk management, and to make it easier for students to do fun things, while also being safe and responsible.
