Recently, she started a major program related to the Sichuan earthquake, and her school had one of the first teams on the ground after the earthquake. Her task force was charged with providing immediate assistance, and more broadly with making critical policy recommendations to the government on humanitarian aid, short and long term relocation, community and economic redevelopment. She is the Chair of the Joint Earthquake Policy Expert Committee of the National Disaster Reduction Commission and the Ministry of Sciences and Technology. </span></li>
