> Fellow of American Academy of Nursing and serves on the Academy's
> Expert Panel on Aging. Outside of the academia, Dr. Zhan is CEO of
> Boston Institute of Management that provides quality education and
> business consulting to individuals and organizations in China and US.

> Dr. Zhan's scholarship focuses on health and access to health among
> elders and ethno-cultural groups, particularly among women's health
> issues. Dr. Zhan has published more than 70 articles and several books. In
> 2000, her book entitled "Asian Voices: Asian and Asian American Health
> Educators Speak out" received "The Book of the Year" award by the
> American Journal of Nursing for outstanding professional development. Her
> co-authored book "Gerontological nursing" (2003) is used as national
