these are two combined cases linked together of 2 patients taken in for additional referral.

the samples were scanned by the lab outside lusaka supported by the italian pathology group. They do a multiresolution/magnification scan and send them for referral by the pathologiests.

currently the quoted price per scan/referral is 30 dollars per, which is ridiculously expensive for cidrz, and it looks like they have some inefficiencies within that system (ie, it might be all email based and all the emails are person monitored vs. done on a website), but maybe the bandwidth and upkeep of equipment and computers on the lab end could be high too. Parham was saying that these rates are also added because they are in excess of what they have for regular traffic as it is. my own curiosity has me wondering about this.

but anyway for reference, here's how they look side by side.

dan
--
Daniel Myung
Senior Engineer
Dimagi, Inc | One Kendall Square | Bldg. 400, 4th Floor | Cambridge, MA 02139
work: (617) 621 8595 | cell: (617) 645 3236
